CENTRE FOR WOMEN’S STUDIES

The Centre aims at promoting, strengthening and networking the
activities related to women through extension and research, and intends
to work for the sustainable development of women. The specific
objectives of the Centre are to introduce gender perspectives in the
curriculum, conscientize students on women’s status, rights and
responsibilties, disseminate research findings to the community,
undertake outreach programmes in rural and urban areas, and network
with other universities and institutions offering women’s studies.
