IQAC, St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, in association with Tutorial Committee organized an orientation programme on 12th November 2019 at 9:30 AM at Dr Juhanon Mar Thoma Hall. Dr. Rosamma Philip, the Principal of Mount Tabore Training College, Pathanapuram and renowned resource person handled the class. Dr. Mathew P. John, Principal of our college, presided over the meeting. Dr. Asha Susan Jacob, IQAC Coordinator welcomed the gathering. At the outset, Dr. Rosamma Philip highlighted the ultimate learning outcome of mentoring and tutoring. She added that a mentor is a person who should initially support the students and gradually help them to be independent. The role of teachers as mentors is to transform learners into scholars. She emphasized that teachers should be mature persons with emotional integrity, cordial relationship, active engagement and unifying philosophy of life. Only then can they motivate the students. The session concluded at 12:30 PM. Prof. Seeniamma C. Chennattucherry proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 51 teachers participated in this programme.
