St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry has established an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) under the initiative of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). The centre aims to nurture innovation and promote an entrepreneurial culture within the institution. It provides a platform for students to transform their creative ideas into viable business ventures and supports them throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
The InnoHive IEDC of St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry successfully organized an Orientation Programme titled “Fuelling Startups, Powering Innovations” with the objective of creating awareness about entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture among students.The session was handled by Mr. Jikku James, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, St. Thomas College, Ranni. In his talk, he elaborated on the fundamentals of startups, innovation ecosystems, and the role of young entrepreneurs in today’s economy. His session was highly informative and motivating for the students
An Ideathon Competition was conducted by IEDC of St.thomas College, Kozhencherry to encourage students to present innovative ideas. Six teams actively participated and presented their ideas before the panel. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased the creativity and problem-solving skills of the students.
